Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DualPlay (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. We built DualPlay as a private, offline-first music player — your music and your data stay on your device. Please read this policy carefully.

🎧 In short: DualPlay does not require an account, does not collect your music, and stores your playlists, bookmarks and settings only on your own device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use DualPlay. We do not collect or upload your music files, song titles, or listening history to our servers — the app has no servers that receive this data.

2. Access to Your Device

To work as a music player, DualPlay requests permission to access the audio and media files stored on your device. This permission is used solely to:

This access happens entirely on your device. We do not transmit, copy, or share your media files.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

DualPlay saves the following locally on your device so the app remembers your preferences between sessions:

This information never leaves your device and is removed when you clear the app’s data or uninstall it.

4. Advertising

DualPlay may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain information, such as a device advertising identifier, general location (derived from IP address), and app usage signals, in accordance with Google’s own policies.

You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You may also reset or limit ad personalization in your device’s settings.

5. Children’s Privacy

DualPlay is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.

6. Data Security

Because your library and preferences are stored locally on your device, their security depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode and up-to-date software.

7. Third-Party Services

DualPlay relies on a small number of third-party services to function, including the Google Mobile Ads SDK (for advertising) and your device’s media framework. These services operate under their own privacy policies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
